Paul Bräuer studied musicology in Berlin and Shanghai. He works as a music journalist for public radio, newspapers and music magazines where he specializes in global music traditions. At the "Haus der Kulturen der Welt" in Berlin Paul Bräuer has been assistant to the curators for "Worldtronics", "The Gala of Street Music" and other festivals. Since 2009 he works as a consultant on Metadata for "Piranha Womex" and "Piranha Musik & IT AG" where he also is a content supervisor for "GlobalMusic2one", a joint research project of Piranha and IDMT Fraunhofer Institute on automated music classification.
