Mirella Pirskanen is a Finnish solo artist who sings and plays the violin at the same time. The solo program 'VioVoce-inspired by Nordic roots' consists of her own compositions and arrangements of Finnish and Scandinavian traditional music.
Mirella Pirskanen also lived in Sweden for 10 years and next to studying classical violin and singing, she also became affected with Swedish and Finnish folklorical music.Her solo repertoire also has elements of contemporary classical music and improvisational music.
Since 1999 Amsterdam, The Netherlands is her home.
