James Chadwick is quickly becoming known as one of the finest young guitarists in the UK. He combines his startling instrumental performances with original songs and has frequently been compared with the likes of John Martyn and Nick Drake. At nineteen he reached the finals of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Musician of the Year with a performance at The Sage Gateshead. He has since toured throughout the UK and has supported artists including Karine Polwart, Lisa Knapp, Chumbawamba Acoustic and Jim Moray. He was recently commissioned to write music for lyrics by cartoonist and social commentator David Shrigley with the final composition appearing on the album Worried Noodles alongside works by David Byrne, Franz Ferdinand and Hot Chip released summer 2007. The album will culminate in a London performance at The Scala featuring James in autumn 2007.
