Sam Carter is a twenty-four year old singer-songwriter and outstanding finger-picked style guitarist from the English Midlands, now based in London. He has studied guitar with Martin Simpson and has already supported artists including Davey Graham, Spiers & Boden, Findlay Brown and John Smith. In summer 2007 he took part in a collaborative project with Nitin Sawhney which culminated in a performance at The Royal Festival Hall and as a result has been appointed Emerging Artist in Residence at The South Bank Centre. He is currently working with on Nitin Sawhney's forthcoming album London Undersound.
