His musical career began in the Italian reggae band (Reggae National Ticket) from Bergamo city in 1993, when he was just fifth teen (15) years old in which he was known as Stena.

In 2001 Alborosie went solo. He moved to the island of Jamaica to be closer to the reggae music roots and the Rastafarian culture. When arrived in Jamaica, he started working as a sound engineer and music producer at Geejam studio in Port Antonio Portland. There he had worked with artists such as; Gentleman, Ky-Mani Marley, Beenie man, Sizzla etc. After more than five (5) doing productions he released SOUL PIRATE, his first solo Album, And that was the Birth of ALBOROSIE. In 2009 he released his second album, Escape from Babylon. By summer of 2009 Alborosie was head lining all major reggae festival across Europe including; Summer Jam, In Germany, Rototom Sun Splash, in Italy, Uppsala Reggae Festival in Sweden just to name a few.

In 2011, he became the first European / Jamaican Reggae artist to win the M.O.B.O. (Music of Black Origin) Awards in the Best Reggae Act category in the U.K
