WITH HIS EP due in September, European singer Alborosie is currently promoting the first song from the project.

Alborosie said he released Poser a few months ago and has since followed with the music video that premiered on the weekend.

He explained that the song was inspired by things he sees happening on a regular basis.

"It is a time where appearance is more important than the real essence of things. We should be true to ourselves and be as honest as possible to the message and the music. A lot of bad persons are pretending to be good," he told The Gleaner.

He said the music video that was directed by Tony Fisher is also representative of what the song says.

"The song is talking about musicians, but in the video, you see a lot of posers from everyday life," he said.

Since being released a few days ago, Alborosie said the video has received more than 60,000 views. He says he has also been pushing it actively in Europe and South America.

"I have been doing dubplates for the past two months, so it is a sign that it is doing well," Alborosie said.

But this is just the first single off the EP that will be released in September. He says a second single will be released in June and will be followed soon after by a music video.

All of this, he added, is as he gears up for the release of his album in early 2016.

Before that happens, Alborosie will release Dub Of Thrones in April. He says it is a 12-track instrumental album that was done by him and King Jammys with both parties producing six songs each.

"No vocals, just instrumental. We are trying to bring something different to the table," Alborosie told The Gleaner.

Despite being different, Alborosie is confident that Dub Of Thrones will do well based on his very wide fanbase.

"Everytime I put out something, my work is always welcomed. Plus, quality is my prerogative all the time," he said.
