POLVOROSA is the music project of the exceptional Chilean artist Daniel Puente Encina, composer, singer-songwriter, guitarist, writer and poet.
POLVOROSA actually performs as a dynamic Power Trio (Option: Sextet: Adding percussion, Sax and trumpet), highly professional with decades of experience on international stages.

BIO:
Daniel Puente Encina is a charismatic musician, whose history is only as extraordinary as life itself can write.
Born in Santiago de Chile, the composer, singer-songwriter, guitarist formed the rebellious post-punk group Pinochet Boys in the 80s, which is currently a mythical band and a symbol of the 80s generation in Chile, for which they would be unofficially forced to leave the country by the military regime. Daniel travelled alone through Brazil, Argentina, Madrid, London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Hamburg, which resulted in a new band: Ninos Con Bombas.
Ninos Con Bombas had outstanding tours of the USA, South America and Europe. In Germany, they are particularly known for their successful concerts as the supporting band for Einstuerzende Neubauten. In 1995, Ninos Con Bombas received the John Lennon Talent Award (JLTA). The band and its music can be seen and heard in the film "Short Sharp Shock / Kurz und Schmerzlos" (1998) by Fatih Akin.
Since 2000, Daniel has been living in Barcelona and performs and produces under the name POLVOROSA. Some of his songs can be heard in the multi-award winning film by Fatih Akin; Contra la Pared. In 2005, POLVOROSA released the album Radical Car Dance. Film-maker Marten Persiel, created two amazing videos for the songs "Behind de mi House" (MTV Award 2005 - best video) and "El Amor Se Demora" written especially for the film "In July" / "Im Juli" (2000) by Fatih Akin.

In 2009, Daniel decided to leave the electronic sounds to one side and switch to a more natural energy to accompany the new songs. Polvorosa's first concerts were praised by critics and once again, they captivated the loyal audience that had waited so long to hear them again.
One of the many press articles written says of POLVOROSA: "Daniel Puente, one-time punk boy, has turned into a virtuoso musician who uses his amplified concert guitar to create deep-rooted music. A very difficult sound to categorise, it is more like modern jazz with the three punk chords. The new proposal is nothing like that superficial music you dance to one day and forget the next. Polvorosa has become an exciting contradiction of sounds, which makes the band so special."
