Kitty Hoff is one of the biggest insider tips of the German chanson scene, standing out of the pack with her inventive mixture of Bossa Nova, Jazz, Pop and Swing.
She studied singing, acting and dancing in Vienna and Essen (Folkwang College) before moving to Berlin, where she later won the the "Federal Singing Contest Berlin" (for Chanson / Song) twice as well as a recording scholarship in 2005. In order to continuously improve her skills Kitty visited several master classes (e.g. Brecht-Diseuse Gisela May, Kurt-Weill-Fest Dessau) and during this time met four musicians who instantly connected with Kitty and her music and eventually became her backing-band "Foret Noire".
On her new CD 'Curiose Geschichten' that was released in 2010, she combines the works of classical composer Robert Schuhmann with her own lyrics.
