Enzo Avitabile's sound combines World Music, Jazz and Funk influences with heavy percussion on wooden barrels and ancient southern Italian vocal styles. This 14-piece formation caused a sensation with their inimitable live-performance at European top-festivals like Sziget (two times one gig with MANU DIBANGO) and Roskilde and were nominated for the BBC Radio Awards 2006.
Their last record "Save The World", that featured well-known guest artists such as Khaled, Manu Dibango and Amina who added arabian and african flavour to the album, instantly hit no. 2 of the World Music Charts. Enzo AVITABILE & BOTTARI are going to release their new record in 2007.
