Barda is Cecilia Gebhard, DJ, composser and producer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Inspired by mostly latinamerican but also world rhythms, she builds soundscapes of organic electronic music fusing beatmaking, acoustic instruments, synthezisers, voice and sampling; working for the dancefloor as well as for a smooth contemplation.
Barda has released 4 albums digitally: Arena in 2014, lauched by netlabel Regional, "Todos Nosotros" and "Los Sueños" both coproductions with SidiRum, edited by Frente Bolivarista in 2015 and 2016, and "Gruta" released by Fertil Discos in 2016.
The track "Gruta"is part of Cumbia La Libertad, compilation edited by Hawaii Bonsai Records in 2016.
In June of 2017 Waixplotation Records included her track "Alguna vez una Flora" in compilation Future Sounds of Argentina.
She also has also published several tracks, remixes and mixtapes for net labels and collectives such as: Shika Shika, Festival Nómade, Casa Caos, Sonido Trópico, among others.
During 2017 summer Barda has played at Pricesless Festival (USA), Kometa Festival (Letonia), Katzensprung Festival, Festival Loyal, Katzensprung Festival and Zugvögel Festival (Germany), among other gigs at important venues in Europe.
In Argentina she has played in Festival Mucho Gustok, Festival Rock Al Río, Festival Barda del Desierto, in Brasil, she participated in Virada Cultural and Sonido Trópico evnents among others. She also played in the last edition of Festival Nómade (2016), among other gigs in Chile.
