Puglia Sounds is the Regional Council programme to develop the music sector in Puglia, in southern Italy. It is the first project of its kind in Italy, a real revolution for musicians, music distributors, producers and those who just listen to music.

An articulated intervention whose main objective is to create a Puglia Music System, which can support the general network of the music industry offering support to artists, cultural enterprises and users with economic instruments and organisation to help the expansion, consolidation and distribution of the cultural offer.

Puglia Sounds enhances the growth of the regional music system, supports the Apulian music heritage in Italy and abroad and promotes relations with the international music networks by means of concrete actions in which Puglia can candidate itself to host international music productions.

Puglia Sounds promotes the production of new domestic and international music productions in Puglia by means of several free services (audio systems/lights, technical/organisational personnel, allotments for musicians and personnel involved) and a regional music circuit consisting of over 30 cultural containers dedicated to setting up and programming musical events.

Puglia Sounds is the programme for supporting and developing music production that Regional Council of Puglia, the Department for the Mediterranean and the Tourism Department have assigned to the Teatro Pubblico Pugliese within Axis IV of the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) Operative Programme.
