Rafa Barreto is a versatile artist who's launching his career in Brazil and abroad.
Brazilian artists such as Gilberto Gil or Lenine influence Rafa's music. Festive and dense, it is a mix of traditional Brazilian music and modern music, going from pop to MPB and samba music.

Rafa is a songwriter, producer and guitarist. He sings in Portuguese and his music is based on current trends of European and world music.
Rafa's band (acoustic guitar, drums, bass, electric guitar) joins Brazilian culture and sensibility with contemporary music. Together they create a rich and innovative musical universe.

Rafa Barreto' show presents 'Entre Becos', his debut album released in 2009, which proposes a dynamic panorama of the new music scene of Sao Paulo.

Born in Sao Paulo in 1981, Rafa Barreto merged into the world of music at young age.

Son of the Northeastern Vicente Barreto, considered as one of the most important composers and guitarists of Brazil, Rafa has already shared the stage with renowned artists such as Chico Cesar, Celso Viafora Dante Ozzetti Pedro Osmar, Chico Saraiva, Quinteto em Branco e Preto, Oswaldinho da Cuica. As a composer, he is often sought after by new artists. Several of his songs have been recorded by the singer Dani Gurgel, the composer Lique, and by Fabio Barros, all of whom are members of an emerging Brazilian generation. Recently, Rafa has begun to compose soundtracks for theatre and dance, including: "Como se houvesse silencio" by Bruna Antonelli and Silvia Razuk, "Dom Quixote", "O Primeiro Voo de Icaro" and "Sampa, Opera Samba", for the Paideia theatre.
In 2009 he produced and launched his first album, 'Entre becos'.
