Born in Antwerp (BE), grew up in Chicago (US) before following the family back to Europe to grow up in The Netherlands, followed by a few years in Dublin (IE) and a half year in Lisboa (PT) and India. Since 2010 living in Brussels, Belgium where a lot has become possible.....

Music has always been a passion, already in early teenager years. Through pop, rock, electronics and roots music, discovered the love for all cultural global sounds together with an unquenched thirst for travelling.

Ever since 2003 writing for Dutch/Belgian counterculture magazine Gonzo (circus) about eclectic and global music; interviews, articles and record reviews.

In 2007, Seb created the global Rebel Up! DJ/VJ collective together with musical, visual and graphic designer friends and going strong and international ever since. Playing under the name of SebCat and organising Rebel Up! Soundclash nights in Amsterdam and Brussels and many other parties in Belgium, Netherlands and other countries! It's all about playing outside of styled borders, from global bass to vintage cuts and ethnographic surprises, no limits.

in March 2014, a double vinyl LP has been released on global American label Sublime Frequencies, titled *Rajasthan Street Music* with street and home recordings of Rajasthani folk musicians that Seb recorded in 2007. More of such releases from the Indian region will appear in the year(s) to come on various labels.

Since 2013, Seb is part of the Global Club Music Network, an international network of dj's and electronic world artists who promote world music styles for the dancefloor, who are always present at Wonex with a stand,

Since 2015, Seb is also part of the international Brussels collective El Pulpo that organises world music nights in the La Tentation venue.

At Womex 14 in Santiago, he played an official DJ Showcase as part of Rebel Up! that went down pretty fine :)

In 2016, he helped making official remixes for Chouk Bwa Libètè (Womex 15) and for Throes & The Shine (Womex 16), both for the Womex Remix compilation by the Global Club Music Network

during Womex 17, find me at stand number 185 (Global Club Music Network)
