WELCOME IN THE RISERVA MOAC!

RISERVA: a new metropolis, in which everyone can stay. Free entry and a melting pot of faces, races, cultures. Respect and brotherhood.
MOAC: a dreamed way of life more than a sound. The reduction of distances and the approach of the people. Molise, Oriente, Africa, Cuba...lands to say that music is capable to make populations nearer.

Without borders or fences, RISERVA MOAC is a nomadic city founded in 2003 by seven musicians from Bojano, in the country of Molise, little region in the centre-south of Italy.
From that date, the new town never stopped to grow up and to go around the world, searching always new inhabitants, always new types of music, instruments, languages, cultures....with the main aim of reaching the Moac, the perfect knowledge of the world and of the human genre in its wonderful differences.

Rudolstadt's TFF 08…May First in Rome (800.000 people)…Festival Interceltique de Lorient…FIMU 2006, in the city of Belfort (France)…the Biennal of young artists of Europe and Mediterranean sea…a tour in USA, reaching Boston, New York, Springfield MA…those are only some of the numerous steps of the Riserva Moac's journey.

The band proposes an optimal feeling between traditional and contemporary music, with a particular mixture of traditional and popular acoustic instruments from many parts of the world and modern sounds with reasoned effects. All starting from the typical instruments and languages from Molise, the region from which it become. Zampogna, infact, is a typical instrument of Molise and centre-south of Italy: something like a bagpipe, but with three chanters and the possibility to play chords, not only lines of melodies. Ciaramella is the particular flute that is always joined with the zampogna in the pastoral history of Riserva's land. From here starts a voyage in the sounds of the world, ancient as gaitas, whistles, zurna and xaphone, modern as saxophones, drum, bass, electric and acoustic guitars, electronic sounds, technology.
Riserva Moac's target of particular arrangements joins to the searched necessity to attract the listener, integrating sounds and languages. The result is an union between engages, deep and never banal lyrics, comunicated by using an alternance of male and female voices, and a sound made of profuse energy, heart and sweat.

A Global Beat sound made in an atmosphere of shared passion.

Thanks to the great number of national and international live performances, and thanks to a considerable collection of various kinds of awards, Riserva Moac is now one of the most important bands in the italian musical scene.
"Bienvenido", the first record of the band and an invite to take part in Riserva's village, saw the light in the Summer of 2005. After one year the cd was completely sold out; needing of a second edition, it reached in this way the 10.000 sold copies.
Then, in the autumn 2007, a new single of Riserva Moac, called "Il Riservista", started to play in the radios and in the national chart, and it was the beginning of a new tour and new european experiences like the TFF in Rudolstadt, in which Riserva Moac was one of the most appreciated musical groups.

Finally, in the June 2009 Riserva Moac releases its second album called "La Musica dei Popoli".
The global beat becomes a compact sound, stronger than before and the fusion of styles, instruments and languages is more powerful and deep.
Whit this second album, and after the German adventure of Rudolstadt, Riserva become more appreciated in Germany and consolidates its position in Europe signing a contract with LaViola and Galileo-MC: booking agency, management and label also in Germany. "La Musica dei Popoli" crosses the Alps and is already available in the German stores.
Soon, in July Riserva starts to go across Germany, in a tour until October, that reaches cities as Nurnberg, Hamburg, Leipzig and others, in addition to normal and many concerts planned throughout Italy.
