Dmitri Vietze founded rock paper scissors, inc. as a way to create a career out of his hybrid interests: global cultures and music. Raised on his mom's scratchy LP's of Balkan, Israeli, and Breton dance music, he graduated onto Fela Kuti found at the public library in Queens, New York, and then onto street performers throughout Manhattan. He attended High School for Music and the Arts, but spent as much time in the streets either in political demonstrations or playing music, as he did in the classroom. His eternal optimism and unstoppable curiosity primed him to become one of the most effective publicists for global sounds in the USA.
