The story of Los Bomberos de Monte Cruz began 2005: flamenco patxanka metropolitain, topped with Fiesta-Feeling from Berlin-Kreuzberg. Pachanga, latin, ska, punk, polka, reggae, flamenco or balkan - all in the style of Mano Negra, Emir Kusturica, Amparanoia and Django Reinhardt.
Making the audience dance and sweat right from the beginning of every concert, they already gave proof for their reputation as a great live band at the Aachen Blind Date Festival, Burg Wilhemstein, at the famous Sziget Festival in Budapest and at the Fete de la musique in Berlin/Oranienplatz, just to name a few. Doesn't matter if the party is big or private, flamenco-jamboree or stadium - Los Bomberos satisfy the urge to move in specially trained batallions, consisting of 8 band members and a professional flamenco dancer, plus guests.
After releasing the song "Brazos de Libertad" on the compilation "Monopson Cerumen" (Fehlton label), the Kreuzberg firefighters came together in the studio of Thomas Stern (Einstürzende Neubauten, Crime and the City Solution, Nick Cave, and others) to record their first CD. Magnificently mastered by Grandmaster Ingo Krauss (Mano Negra, Fanta4, Gianna Nannini...) you will hear soulful music made with virtuosity. The record release concert on November 18 in, of course, Berlin-Kreuzberg, has been a great success and an incredible party!
