Born under the compromise to preserving the cultural heritage of Iraqi music tradition, Mesopotamiens is leaded by one of the last masters of the prestigious School of Baghdad -nowadays closed-, the greatest player santur Wessam Ayoub Al Azzawy. His repertoire presents different maqams, a music recognized by the Unesco as a world heritage.
Mesopotamiens will be presenting a special repertory at the FIMS based on sacred music. The concert which will be an acoustic concert will be broadcasted by Radio Suisse Romande.
