Tickets for the many news and experiences at next summer's Roskilde Festival
are sold in December at the same price as for Roskilde 2000 and 2001. A
unique offer in times of increasing prices everywhere.

Roskilde Festival 2001 was anticipated with great expectation. Would the
organisers be able to secure both the excitement and the safer experience
for the audience already in year one? And could it be done in a respectfull
way in the light of the 2000 disaster? Obviously yes - say both the audience
and the media. And the professionals who carefully watched the process.
'Roskilde leads the way onwards' and 'Roskilde sets new standards', are
said. Despite the fact that a number of potential guests, parents, and
media, naturally, wanted to see, how Roskilde Festival managed its 'exam' in
year one, almost 65,000 4-day tickets were sold. This makes Roskilde the
greatest multiple-days festival of its kind in the World in 2001. For the
organisers in Roskilde neither size nor profit had top priority in 2001. The
most important issue to the organisers was to redeem or to exceed the many
expectations - and to eliminate any doubt. A difficult task was seriously
solved - and free space for music, togetherness, and excitement was secured.
The new Roskilde line will be developed further on Roskilde Festival '02 on
27 - 30 June.

As already mentioned, ticket sales for 2002 started on 1 December with a
sensational offer: Same ticket price for the 3rd successive festival. This
price cannot be kept after January 1st. General price increases since the
autumn of 1999 and immensely increased costs in specific areas mean that the
price of Roskilde tickets will increase by approx. 10% in all countries, no
matter the development of the rate of exchange - so save good money and buy
your ticket in December.
