Amilê Trio is the encounter between 3 talented players from different musical backgrounds of Brazilian and jazz instrumental music.
The French flutist Amina Mezaache and the two Brazilian musicians Rodrigo Samico, on the 7 strings guitar, and Milena Sá on the percussion invite us to travel into fascinating Brazilian Styles, like choro, maxixe, forró (baião, xote), frevo, maracatu and samba, through a wide repertoire of standards and compositions.
In a very original way, Amilê Trio mixes Brazilian music language and rhythms with a jazz and improvisation approach, to create surprise, poetry and open the doors of imagination.
Every show of this trio brings a festive ambient of Carnival on the stage and creates a joyful and unforgettable experience for the audience.
Recently Amilê Trio performed in London with its new project "The Beatles meet Brazil" and achieved an exciting summer tour in Liverpool, playing at well-known venues as Kazimier Garden, Constallations, Caledonia and Pen factory. The Trio appeared as well at the "Music Popular Show" on BBC radio on the 20th of august 2018.
