Mian Sheheryar is one of the most respected and loved composers of Pakistan. From an early age he worked for HMV as a music composer and moved on to composing for films, tv and radio. His unique style of music is well recognised having composed for all the top singers of Pakistan. Mian Sheheryar is also a wonderful singer with a remarkable range of voice. The collection in this album entitled 'Sanwala', gives us for the first time some of his favourite compositions sung in his own voice. Poetry is his passion, which he sets to his own simple melodies, while remaining true to the classical musical heritage.
