Nowadays the independent record companies have a vital role in the musical setting of Argentina. Their catalogues include not only Argentinian tango and folklore but also jazz, electronic music, rock and roll and other new musical expressions.

Within this framework, “Buenos Aires Discographics” Program aims at the promotion and diffusion of the record industry of Argentina. As the last year there will be a stand (1-B.20, C.20) in WOMEX 2007 where, beside the Staff of the Progamm,importants producers, artists and record companies will participate.

The coordinator of this program will be present at the meeting: Mr. Nicolás Wainszelbaum, General Coordinator of the Program And BAFIM "Buenos Aires //Undersecretary of Cultural Industries // Ministry of Production of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires;

“Buenos Aires Discographics” is a program of the Assistant Secretary of Management and Culture Industries of the Ministery of Production of the City of Buenos Aires.

Los sellos independientes ocupan hoy un lugar de vital importancia en la escena musical de la Argentina. No sólo dedican sus catálogos al tango y el folklore argentino, sino también al jazz, la música electrónica, el rock y a nuevas expresiones musicales de calidad.

En este marco se inscribe el programa “Discográficas de Buenos Aires”, cuyo objetivo es la promoción y la difusión de la industria discográfica argentina. Nuevamente estará presente en WOMEX (stand 1-B.20, C.20) , donde participarán además de los responsables del Programa, productores, artistas y sellos de importante y afamada trayectoria.

El coordinador del Programa y de BAFIM (Feria Internacional de la Musica de Buenos Aires) estará presentes en esta edición: Nicolás Wainszelbaum, Coordinador General del Programa Discográficas de Buenos Aires // Subsecretaría de Industrias Culturales - Ministerio de Producción del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires;
