DJ tudo is one of Alfredo Bello's artistic "IDs": musician, producer and traditional and contemporary culture researcher, he has produced, played and/or recorded with several artists such as: Lee Scratch Perry, Otto, Junio Barreto, Marku Ribas, Adrian Sherwood, Projeto Cru, Ortinho, Dona Zica, Pedra Branca, Apollo 9, etc.
For 20 years he has been involved in the cultural field participating in projects, recording sessions and concerts. Alfredo graduated in Music at Universidade de Brasilia, and has released in 2008 his first solo work, the album Garrafada, as DJ Tudo. He has just won a public selection promoted by the British Council to perform an 'artistic residence' in England in 2009.
Garrafada is one of the albums released by the label Mundo Melhor and it brings the diversity of Brazilian music with a pinch of contemporary/electronic music, which results in a unique sonority.
This album has been released (through concerts, DJ performances, etc) in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Uberlandia, Petrolina, Goias, Salvador, Brasilia and Spain. In October and November DJ Tudo make a tour in Europe.
Garrafada is also the name of the band that accompanies DJ Tudo, and it is composed , in a 'mutating' form, by: Simone Sou, Luiz Gayotto, Marcelo Monteiro, Victor Ramalho, Estevan Sinkowitz, Graciliano Neto,Sidhs Oliveira, Solymar Cunha, Rubi, Tulipa Ruiz, Biu do Pife, Gero Camilo, Mestre Nico, Eduardo Nazarian, Gustavo Ruiz, Junio Barreto, Jadna Zimmermann, amongst other musicians.

The label Mundo Melhor is the result of an intense research in Brazilian culture, and one of the winners of the "Maestro Duda" award of Popular Culture promoted by the Ministerio da Cultura in 2007. Along its 5 years of existence, the label has already released 17 albums of Popular Brazilian Culture and artists of Brazilian contemporary music. In 2009 this site has been awarded with the PAC de Sites de Cultura da Secretaria de Cultura do Estado de Sao Paulo, therefore it will, from now on, expand considerately its size and capacity.

BIOGRAPHY

Alfredo Bello:


Researcher of Brazilian traditional expressions, Alfredo has a collection that's already reached over 1000 recorded hours, being considered one of Brazil's most important in popular culture, besides his 9000 LPs collection. The gathering of this vast material led to the creation of the label Mundo Melhor, that registers several communities all over the country. By adding this musical knowledge to the acoustic bass, electric bass, sampling, percussion, keyboards and programming DJ Tudo emerged.
DJ Tudo searches new artistic experiences from tradicional folkloric music to electronic music, creating a unique way of being a DJ, linking and overlapping traditional and contemporary/electronic music.
The album Garrafada is a register of his musical experience with musicians and folkloric culture groups, his partners in his musical path.

ALFREDO'S EDUCATION.

Alfredo attended the Music course at Universidade de Brasilia, after studying Sociology for three years. At that time he had the group "Os Cachorros das Cachorras", one of the most important groups of Brasilia's pop scenario during th 90's, having performed in several cities around Brazil, and in Germany in 1998. He played during this period in UNB's Big Band and UNB's Orquestra de Camara. He graduated in his main instrument, the double bass, and continues to play electric bass and synths (he has a small collection of moogs, korg, among others).


SOUNDTRACK PRODUCER:

As a student Alfredo recorded some soundtracks for short college movies at UNB.
2003 - soundtrack for the Mostra SESC de Artes Latinidades.
2004 - soundtrack for VR.
2005 - with Luiz Gayotto soundtrack for a Conselho Regional de Psicologia de Sao Paulo's documentary.
2007 - with Luiz Gayotto composition of the soundtrack of the short movie "Profetas da Agua e da Esperanca" (having earned 3 awards).
2008 - with Simone Sou - soundtrack for the FORD stand at Salao do Automovel de Sao Paulo
2008 - soundtrack and music direction of the show "PEDRINHO DO CAPAO" , with 100 children from Sao Paulo.
2009 - he's starting to produce soundtracks for Brazilian cinema.


MUSIC PRODUCER:

From 2000 until nowadays Alfredo Bello has been acting intensively in the music and soundtrack production field, working with several music styles. He's made soundtracks for short movies and advertising campaigns for SESC SP and FORD, and others.
Among his music production works some stand out: the paulista rock band "Cerebro Eletronico", the singer/songwriter "Junio Barreto", the rock mineiro band "Porcas Borboletas", the singer/songwriter "Luiz Gayotto", the artist "Gero Camilo", the singer from Pernambuco "Ortinho", the pianist "Eduardo Nazarian", the group "Pedra Branca", the group "O Bando de Maria", the poemusic project "O Grande Barco", the band "Dona Zica", the singer/songwriter "Carlos Zimbher", two works with 'native music fusion' "Caiapo" and "Mehinaku" ( with the appearances of Nana Vasconcelos, Egberto Gistmonti, Simone Sou, Gilberto Gil, Airto Moreira, Marku RIbas, Badi Assad, and others).
