Antonio Chainho stands out as one of the great masters of Portuguese Guitar playing, side by side to the renowned Carlos Paredes with whom he already has collaborated.
In fact, in 2008 he was part of a special tribute to 50 of the world's best instrumentalists in the 50th edition of Songlines magazine - he was the only Portuguese musician in the group.
Managing the guitar's unique twelve strings since the age of 12, Chainho soon realised that his future would be by its side. To speak about his music, it's inevitable to mention his collaboration with great Fado singers (Lucilia do Carmo, Maria Teresa de Noronha, Herminia Silva, Carlos do Carmo, Francisco Jose or Antonio Mourao), but also his own musical journey out of Fado, with nothing but his incredible skills and a free spirit.
Through tropical lands, Indian rhythms and typical Portuguese influences, there is a universe which can easily be found not only in Chainho's records but also in his amazing new show.
