Sirocco: siroccoserok´o[Ital., from Arab. sharq=east], hot, dust-laden, dry, southerly wind originating in the N African desert (most commonly in the spring) and reaching Italy and nearby Mediterranean areas. The term more generally denotes any oppressive, warm, southerly or southeasterly wind in this region.

Sahara: from the Arabic Shara which means desert. A territory of some 266,000 km2 with 500,000 inhabitants, of whom more than 200,000 are either refugees in Frente Polisario camps in Tindouf (Algeria) or left to wander in liberated areas.

Both of these definitions gave birth to this musical proposal: a hot wind that comes from the desert passing through Arab percussion. What could be better than receiving that message with a scale of nostalgic, sad, ironic blues and an electronic basis which reinforces the heart beat of a people who -needless to say - cry out in the desert.
