Sommarscen Malmö

Sommarscen Malmö is an annual free outdoor programme with concerts, performing arts and cinema that takes place in parks and public places across Malmö, Sweden.

Sommarscen offers around 200 performances during two months every summer in around 40 different locations scattered around Malmö. The locations are diverse and range between a permanent open-air theatre to a temporary stage in a park or simply in the urban environment.

The programme aims to include the unique and unexpected meeting between performers, the audience and its particular location to the broad and public. With a plethora of different genres and types of performances, Sommarscen offers touring performances for children, contemporary dance, poetry walking tours, outdoor cinema, concerts, contemporary circus, sing along events, world music and everything in between. All performances are free of charge.

80 000-100 000 people visit Sommarscen's concerts and performances every year. Sommarscen is organized by the City of Malmö.
