Songlines is published eight times a year with distribution in over 60 countries worldwide and a total readership of 40,000. Edited by Simon Broughton, co-editor of The Rough Guide to World Music, every issue comes with an exclusive Top of the World CD covermount featuring tracks from the best new album releases and a celebrity playlist.The Songlines podcast accompanies each issue and is available as a free download through the iTunes store or through the website at www.songlines.co.uk.
Songlines is now available on subscription in digital format and is partnering with IODA in supplying free download tracks with each edition. The Songlines iPhone app, launched in 2009, has had over 120,000 downloads to date.
Songlines launched Songlines Music Travel in 2008, offering bespoke trips to various world music destinations & festivals. And the Songlines Music Awards are now in their fourth year, with an album featuring all 16 nominees released every March. The inaugural Songlines Music Awards winners' concert will take place at London's Barbican on November 23 featuring Tinariwen, Anoushka Shankar and special guests.
