Sonic Crossroads
An initiative promoting new music around the globe through recordings, concerts, residencies and workshops.
Sonic Crossroads was started in 2005 in order to explore global trends in music. Concerts and residencies with partner organizations have featured prominent artists from classical, jazz and traditional styles who are interested in collaborating across stylistic boundaries.
Sonic Crossroads has collaborated with several entities, including the Aga Khan Music Initiative, CEC ArtsLink, the Freer Gallery, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Opera Vista, Texas A&M University, and the University of Houston. In addition to partnering with non-profits, Sonic Crossroads has received corporate support from American Express, AT&T, Bank of America, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, and US Bank.
The Sonic Crossroads recording label has produced two albums, "Silhouettes" and "Journeys" featuring pianist Kathryn Woodard. We also provide consulting and advocacy services for organizations and artists seeking to connect.
