The smallest fanfare-band in the country. You might encounter them in the streets, on squares, in cities and villages. With a bugle, a small and a big saxophone. De Simpele Zielen go cross-country since 1990. With music from all over the world: Europe, Africa, Latin-America.…..
Music for party, music for lament, or just enjoy music, played by street-musicians, theatre-musicians. Everywhere in the world music has a key-role in celebrating heydays or important events. Everyone dances, sings, plays or listens. The Music, the band, the musician: often or always part in a ritual.
A marriage in Eastern-Europe, a carnival in Central-America, beer-party in Bavaria or Guadalajara, market-day in Africa. On every occasion these magic sounds are present, so strongly mounted in the culture, and at the same time its bearers.

De Simpele Zielen, the smallest fanfare in the country, consists of musicians who are used to cross borders. And seek guiding in the one thing that is shared in all cultures: the magic of the music!
In that they are very experienced, also by their work in a enormous variety of artistic, theatrical and musical projects. In De Simpele Zielen much of this has been brought together.
De Simpele Zielen can perform in many situations: reception, vernissage, festival, opening-day, concert, birth and fare-well, etc, etc, De Simpele Zielen can offer a suitable programm!
De Simpele Zielen:

-Hans Belleman – bugle, trumpet;
-Jan Rijnierse – bass-saxophone, tarogato;
