"Hasbihal" means to communicate, to talk, to pour out one's grief to each other or divine endearment in Alevi-Bektashi and other Sufi traditions. In concerts or cem rituals, The Hasbihal Ensemble members are communicating, sharing Alevi-Bektashi music and beliefs with each other and listeners to clean hearts, soul and feelings. That's why the listeners are also members of the ensemble in the concerts. This belief is coming from religious humanism of Alevi-Bektashis. This is mostly where the western and eastern humanists differ from eachother. In that blief, all creatures (in spite of differences of any kind) are the reflections of the 'creator'. Everything is sacred. To accept them, to respect and to love them is to feel the 'creator'. The Hasbihal Ensemble's music is effected by these ideas and bliefs. In concerts, group plays in the atmosphere of a muhabbet, an intimate mystical gatherings, solely on sacred instruments of Alevi-Bektashis.
