Kudsi Erguner is a Turkish ney flute virtuoso. He lives and works in Paris, collaborating mainly with Turkish artists, such as those who joined forces with him on his many highly acclaimed projects like "Islam Blues" and "Sufi Music of Turkey". Erguner is also renowned as one of the composers of the music for Martin Scorsese's film "The Last Temptation of Christ".
Kudsi Erguner has preformed and recorded with a wide range of internationally celebrated artists such as Peter Gabriel, Jean Michel Jarre, Georges Apherghis, Didier Lockwood, Michel Portal, Christof Lauer, Michel Godard, Renaud Garcia-Fons, Markus Stockhausen, Heliard Ensemble, New Ensemble, Marc Minkowsky and Fazil Say. Ranging from pop, classical, jazz, contemporary Kudsi opened a whole new era in the music industry and gave a whole new meaning to the art of "collaboration.
To date, Kudsi Erguner has recorded more than 100 CDs covering every facet of traditional Ottoman music.
