Midaircondo stems from avant-garde sound art, electronica, jazz and melancholic pop and have created a small miracle made from warm, titillating, gently sparkling and evocative music. The duo is known for their visual and improvised concerts with an imaginative mix of acoustic instruments, voice, electronics and video and has since their start in 2003 toured intensively both in Sweden and internationally. Midaircondo have previously released two albums, Shopping for Images (Type Records, 2005) and Curtain Call (Twin Seed Re- cording, 2009) both were incredibly well received by reviewers as well as by a world-wide audience.
Now, Midaircondo meets the percussionist Michala stergaard-Nielsen in this new and exciting project. Michala stergaard-Nielsen is a highly interesting musician with a unique voice on the Nordic music scene today. She has her own personal musical expression and explores her instruments both as objects of rhythm and of sound, always with a great deal of sensitivity and presence. Michala is a frequently appointed musi- cian who has appeared on a great number of records.

Midaircondo feat. Michala stergaard-Nielsen releases the album Reports on the Horizon
With the album Reports on the Horizon Midaircondo (Lisa Nordstroem, Lisen Rylander Loeve) and Michala stergaard-Nielsen (percussion) open the doors to a dissonant and beautiful universe, a place where no listener is left unmoved.
Midaircondo and Michala stergaard-Nielsen stretch time and let slow sound processes put us into an al- most meditative state. In a time of high speed and constant acceleration they take us to 5 different places at different periods in time. They let us stop there for a moment to take in the nuances of what goes on around us. A soundtrack without a film, or perhaps scenes from a film created by the listeners themselves: the sud- den eye contact between strangers on a train, the life that goes on in the flat across the street, a storm slowly approaching from the horizon. Constantly changing soundscapes gently unfold and evolve into magnifi- cent others. The music has an air of transparency. It is open and remote but at the same time totally here and now, an evocative presence that insists and commands but if you give in, takes you to places where dreams and images come to life.
Midaircondo's and Michala stergaard-Nielsen's, different soundscapes of acoustic instruments, voices, electronics and percussion cross pollinate each other and create new unpredictable ways into the music. Reports on the Horizon is an encounter between three musicians choosing to walk uncharted territories.
