This years edition of the Music Machine takes the audience back to the music as it was played in Spanish Harlem, New York in the 60-ties.
It was the time of the Latin Soul and Boogaloo a swinging combination of Rhythm & Blues with Cuban Son, made populair by artists such as Joe Cuba, Johnny Colon, Ricardo Ray, King Nando, the Hi-Latins and Pucho and the Latin Soul Brothers.
Thanks to the irrisistible formula of Cuban music mixed with Doo Wap, R&B and Funk, using english lyrics, Latin music became truelly populair for the first time with both the white American audiences as well as the Afro-American listeners.
