Having inclined towards the open performing forms and courses, on this album Tamara further explores some earlier attempts related to the spiritual and musical inspiration found in her native Istria. After three marvelous albums, her new album shows an even more subtle coexistence of complex performing and vocal forms with a pronounced personal touch.
"Sve pasiva" ("All fades away") is a rich sound book characterized by brilliant musicians and a support among each other, frequent improvisations and skillful playing abounding in minute details, which complements Tamara’s voice perfectly. Her voice, which is equally impressive both when she sings lyrics and performs a vocalize, thus turning it into an additional instrument, and a powerful interaction between the musicians (dominated by a great pleasure of playing), make the album "Sve pasiva" display great ease among other hardly light musical forms.
In fact, this is a convenient combination of talent, self-control, taste and art which gives prominence to the personal poetics of Tamara Obrovac on the album, rather than strictly following forms of jazz, ethno music and other genres.
In other words, this is a specific quality rarely found in such an efficient combination, a unique kind of music, especially at concert performances bursting with personal poetics, emotions, spirit, communication, skilfull playing and human symbiosis...

“Sve pasiva” (All fades away") sounds, first of all, unbearably light, regardless of its display of musical forms that are not light at all. In a filigree-like performance full of details, with miniatures played on the accordion, the mandolin and the drums, the supporting musicians excellently complement Tamara’s vocal lead, equally effective when singing out the lyrics or when vocalising, when she becomes an additional solo instrument.

NOMINATION FOR THE "BBC RADIO 3 WORLD MUSIC AWARDS 2004" (European Music and Audience Award)

Here is what John L. Walters, Guardian, 20/02/2004 said while browsing the Double CD with all the nominees songs:
"Fortunately, the random nature of awards compilation like this provides the opportunity to browse and skip and fall headlong for something you've never heard before. In my case, the "blind date" artist is Tamara Obrovac. "Cansoneita" ("A Small Song") performed by Obrovac with the Transhistria Ensemble, is a floating, beguiling track, with spacious drumming, tuneful accordion and a delicious lead vocal by Obrovac."
