The Drum is dedicated to developing and promoting contemporary art and culture of British African, Asian and Caribbean communities. Through its various initiatives, The Drum, located in Aston, Birmingham, strives to become a centre of national and international renown; firmly rooted within its local community.The Drum's artistic programme features an exciting array of world music, club events, theatre, comedy, dance, literature, spoken word, films, exhibitions and multimedia training and production facilities. The Drum's artistic programme is a mixture of international and UK artists and tour ready productions alongside locally produced work.
The venue has three performance spaces all with their own stages, artist changing rooms, bars and state of the art P.A, lighting and visual projection facilities.
