"Music with deepest conviction" was created by the duo from Basel Switzerland "Thomas Heinz" on their second album "For life".
This album is dedicated to life, the protagonists Thomas Schauffert and Heinz Ehrsam do explain. "For Life" is sparkling from positive energy out of life.
The complex arrangements, sometimes instrumental, sometimes with lead vocals, sound very often, even though they are very complex, like played live out of stomach.
Not seldom one gets the feeling to listen to live music, which leads the listener in small bars, in trains through winter country or sun bathing on the beach, for dreaming. The duo was working for more then a year on this album. The production and also the mastering was done by Thomas Heinz themselfs. What come out are 13 songs and instrumentals. A calm but full of energy mix of Ethnopop, ambient Jazz, which is unique in the world of music.
The beats expert Heinz Ehrsam (Drums, Cajon, Hang, Percussions) and multi instrumentalist Thomas Schauffert (keys, trumpet, flugel horn, mellophone, cornet, harmonica, vocals) create on "For life" lovely harmonies, great hook lines and hypnotic world of sounds. Some times gentle and pulsating (Beauty of life) , some times calm and classic (Piano improvisation 0608), some times groovy and exiting (Your dream), also full of heart like a hymn (Deep inside) or even like a big sound experiment like the jazzy ethno-waltz "Merkur" - "For life" is an album for all situations and feelings in life.
