Victory of Jazz 2019 in France for the album Quest of the Invisible !
In this new creation Naïssam Jalal invited the Brazilian pianist Leonardo Montana and the franco-armenian double bass player Claude Tchamitchian in search of the Invisible. This new directory is at the cross-road of extra-western, traditional mystic musics and modal jazz. The silence has a central place and the rhythm always leads towards the trance in a repetitive and hypnotic shape. Sometimes the voice comes to help the other instruments to get in touch with the Invisible. A creation which oscillates between pondering and trance, silence and music.
