In madagascar language, Fenoamby is an eagle with two heads or a bicycle
with three wheels, or even a sheep with five legs- in a word anything wich is
bizarre
Composer-songwriter, guitarist, master of ceremony, singer of multiple
registers from the lament to the salegy (rhythm 6/8, the most popular in
Madagascar) the most frenzied with the hoarse voice of the madagascan
singers in bars, Marius can also sing the south African rock, the Sega Maloya,
and the regassy ( Madagascan reggae). Marius Fontaine was born in the North
East of the Great Island, at Ampanefena, in the Diego province. He came to the
Ile de la Reunion, which he adopted as his home, in July 1982. His group, Fenoamby
began working in Reunion at the end of the nineteen eighties and has recorded
four albums, the first in 1991 (Live), in 1993 (Fanajana "respect"), in 1996 (Ravo
"happiness"), in 2002 (Ho ala areo "you will be god") and the last (Tany malaza
"Gold Earth". Since 1998, the band has living in FRANCE.
Marius is surrounded with 6 musicians native of Madagascar
Datita Rabeson : Guitar ,
Yves Jonas : Base, Chorus,

With his Kabossy Marius has no rival when it comes to bringing the crowd in
the trance of the salegy, the sigoma, the Watcha-watcha.
On stage, his humor, his dialog with the public, his traditional dress enrich
the show. The band can set the floor on fire
