Six musicians, that are very well known in the Austrian music scene, present their interpretation of the most famous Christmas songs.
Because of their love for the old, traditional Christmas songs they have left out the lyrics, arranged them in a new way, and brought them into a new, world music related order. Old songs get decorated with an exotic flair from the Balkan-, Maghreb, oder Caribbean Region so that they sound fresh, like completely new compositions. With the motto "the rebirth of the Christmas songs" the ensemble gives the almost too well-known sounds a part of their charm back. They see Christmas songs as material that can and should be worked on.
