Heralded as "a refreshing taste of Caribbean consciousness," Rizon emerged as a dynamic force in the Trinidad and Tobago music environment in 2007 with his song "Reach." He was a finalist for the National Youth Awards and was nominated for the 'Jazz/World Music Composition of the Year' at the Copyright Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago's (COTT) Music Awards 2007 and 'Publisher of the Year in 2008'. He has been described as an "ambassador for positive Caribbean music," inspiring both young and old listeners throughout the region.
His music video for the song "Reach" achieved the 1 position for 4 weeks straight on Tempo's Cross Caribbean Countdown. His subsequent releases 'Not For Long' and 'I Like Yuh Way', continue to receive heavy rotation on numerous Caribbean based music channels.
Rizon continues to direct his efforts towards the upliftment of the youth in Trinidad and Tobago. He has been a feature artist on the Ministry of Education's 'Eduvan' Series where he addresses issues which are relevant to students in their particular school setting, using his lyrics and music as the medium of transmission. In addition to this he has addressed numerous students at the primary school level and uses every opportunity to leave persons with a message of encouragement and hope.
