The Divine Aubergines are a Collective of Artists and Musicians brought together by Muslim women to explore faith, performance and music. Our target is to cater for the world music audience borrowing music from musical traditions from around the world to create something of our own from women who have been starved of music due to their faith or culture Their influences are Punk, Rock, Bhangra, Jazz, Brazilian Bossanova, and traditional Irish, reggae and gypsy music. Creating fusion music with a different dimension of wisdom, giving birth to new genres such as Sufi Punk. The Divine Aubergines are British practicing Muslim women and their songs conjure up the feel good factor of their faith. They sing about their reality of growing up in Britain and the role of faith in their lives. Divine Aubergine members are Naz Koser and Uzma Asghar as vocalists, supported by the Ulfah Collective choir in collaboration with a group of world musicians.
