Allah Hu is a tribute to the great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, by his nephews Rizwan and Muazzam Ali Khan. Influenced by their uncles's passion for Qawwali, they trained at an early age by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, they are the next in line to take the mantle of a tradition that spans over five centuries within the family itself. This album is a musical homage to their Guru (Teacher) and idol.
Their inventive reinterpretations of spiritual love songs based on classical Islamic and Sufi texts was first showcased in the UK in July 1998, at the WOMAD Festival in Reading, to much critical acclaim, and has since journeyed to the far corners of the globe.
