vandle99 offers concerts of the artist ANDREA PARODI from Italy (SARDINIAN ISLAND).

Andrea Parodi offers his live musical manifesto, which comes from the idea of a common feeling and dialogue of the south of the world, by singing in his own language - Sardinian - the most beautiful and representative Mediterranean popular melodies, restyled with new and original arrangements.

During the show, Andrea Parodi's voice will intertwine in fine atmospheres with eccellent musicians which express themselves in a project rich of contaminations, from ethic and popular music to jazz.

The show will include some pieces from Parodi's solo album ABACADA; among them Efix (inspired from Grazia Deledda's tale CANNE AL VENTO), Pandela (from SISA, a song of the Burkina Faso musician Gabin Dabiré), and a ballad version of Astrolicamus, chosen among Parodi's previous group, Tazenda, repertoire.
Then some pieces will be taken from the special project Terracuza To executed from Andrea Parodi and the Israelian singer NOA, among them the ethic lullaby NINNA NOA and the Sardinian traditional AVE MARIA; and some pieces from Parodi's last original project Armentos together with the American virtuous guitarist AL DI MEOLA (among them, the homonymous Armentos and Temporadas).
Moreover there will be some homages to great personalities and musicians in the world, among them the Cuban Silvio Rodriguez (through his song La Maza), Simon & Garfunkel (through the Sardinian version of THE SOUND OF SILENCE), and others. Finally there will be No Potho Reposare, the most beloved love song in Sardinian popular tradition.
Andrea Parodi will performe the concert together with the most famous world and jazz Italian musicians, the ones who have been touring with Parodi and Al Di Meola in the tour ARMENTOS (2005). Among them, Gavino Murgia, the famous sax soprano player, and TENORE BASSU voice, and player of ethnic instruments (duduk, launeddas, benas, sulittu)
