GOSPEL STRAIGHT FROM THE HEARTS

South Africa has hundreds ( maybe thousands ) Gospel Choirs. Every Sunday there is a long live broadcast with old and new Gospels on national television and almost every village has it's own annual Gospel competition.

Vicky Vilakazi a Gospel star in South Africa (and one of our African Mamas), stood at the cradle of famous choirs such as the Soweto Gospel Choir and Joyous Celebration. Together with her musical sister Gift they decided to form a new Choir with the newest and best talents from the township Soweto. In the heart of Soweto on a small dusty courtyard, we were allowed to experience the first rehearsals. Goose bumps What a temperament, what a musicality and what a great voices in this day, the soloist where not even there

The choir in no time has become an absolute hit. With heart warming Gospels and beautiful harmonies from the whole African Continent, but also Spirituals from America and known international songs. A live band accompanies the choir and of course, the singers wont stand still
Just like you wont be able to sit still.
