PUP is a Danish composer, music entrepreneur and musician, working mainly with early music projects.
PUP's principal instrument is the church organ, specializing in historical organs and positives as well as the small medieval instrument, 'organetto'. Otherwise, PUP is predominantly self-taught, with a healthy skepticism toward musical "institutions" and a certain proclivity to go against the flow. Being self taught, however, has not prevented him from using a wide range of other instruments in concerts and recordings, among others piano, harpsichord, pipe and tabor, ney and various percussion instruments.
Since 1995 PUP has been working professionally as a music teacher, musician, composer, director, and producer in Denmark, Spain and Cuba. Recent activities:
- Historical keyboards and artistic direction in "Via Artis Konsort" with a repertoire ranging from late Medieval to early Classic period.
- Concert series with Spanish organ music from the Renaissance period.
- Concert series with “Cuban Salon Music” of the nineteenth century.
- Composing for musico-dramatic projects like Escarramán (2016), 'Hesbjerg revisited' (2017) and 'Andersens duende' (premiere 2019)
