Toni is a Maori songtress, actor and director whose talents have taken her to various creative festivals world-wide, from the UK, through Europe, USA, Canada, Asia, China and to the stunning Pacific Islands. She has supported artists such as ‘The Neville Brothers’ (USA) and worked alongside some of New-Zealand’s finest musicians including ‘Gareth Farr’, and award-winning producer ‘Paddy Free’.

Originally from Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, Toni grew up in a close knit whanau (family) surrounded by an eclectic array of influences such as Anglican choir, musical theatre and traditional Maori cultural performance. She affiliates to Ngati Kahungunu and Rongowhakaata tribes, with Lebanese, German, Scandinavian and Irish ancestry.

Toni's music infuses her deep spiritual roots with notes of jazz, soul and opera. As an renown performer, Toni’s most dramatic roles were playing ‘Hine nui te Po – Goddess of the after life’ and Maui’s mother in Tanemahuta Gray’s, ‘Maui – One Man Against the Gods.

To add, as a successful recording artist, Toni’s FIVE solo albums have been charted toppers and won numerous awards.
