An intense, energetic mix of Moroccan Gnawa & Senegalese Blues with Northern-European strings.
At one of the UK's wettest festivals of 2012, Larmer Tree Festival near Salisbury in Wiltshire, a chance meeting between Gnawa musician Simo Lagnawi and fiddler/nyckelharpist Griselda Sanderson from Scotland led to the formation of an idea: to get two of the UK's foremost North/West African musicians together to form a Moroccan/Senegalese collaboration - with some Swedish nyckelharpa thrown in for good measure. Add to that some West African percussion and a dynamic ensemble results in the form of Kamba Band, which means "Look, look" in Gnawa.
