I was happy to learn my lesson at the beginning of the 80s when I met 3Mustaphas3: Forward in all directions!
WeltBeat started at the dawn of the World Music era back in the 80s.
Main focus: Organizing concerts & club nights. Artistic management of the Bourarabou Hotel & Musicla School (Kerr Sering Njagga/The Gambia)
Later: Consulting Network Medien (WorldNetwork, Desert Blues and many other anthologies...) in building up an important World music catalogue (1989-2004).
WeltBeat ceased activity when Jean Trouillet was appointed to run Shantel's Essay Recordings (2004-2012).
WeltBeat is now consulting and producing artists (Den Sorte Skole/DK, Jewish Monkeys/ISR).
WeltBeat is also running a radio show.
