HOVEN DROVEN -20 years of folkrocking the world
For 20 years, and six albums, the Swedish folkrock combo HOVEN DROVEN has roamed the worlds stages with their unique brand of swedish folk music, combined with the most infectious rocking grooves.

"Imaging Metallica and The Chieftains together on stage - than you will have an idea of what Hoven Droven is doing." Fans of traditional folk music and of harder musial stuff lay arm in arm because of the music of this Swedish band. Since 1990 the folkrock sextet - since 2000 as a quintet - inspires the audience in northern Europe. In 1994 the debut album "Hia Hia" was released followed by "Grov" in 1996, both highly acclaimed by the critics. With the following recordings "hippa" and "Turbo" Hoven Droven reaches international reputation. The band's live recording "Jumping At The Cedar" (recorded in Minneapolis/USA) from 2006 was nominated for the Swedish Grammy. The guys take polskas, waltzes and reels from the dark corner of the ancient Sweden, combine them with heavy guitars and rock drums and create romantic musical monsters.

The band's name is a Swedish slang term which means "razzle-dazzle", "noise" or "helter-skelter" but also something like "however"
