WOMEX is the world's biggest professional music Conference, Trade Fair and Showcase for World, Roots, Folk, Ethnic, Traditional, Alternative World, Local and Diaspora music. Says France's Le Monde, WOMEX is "the principal market for world music."

Travelling from Berlin (1994, 1999, 2000) across Brussels (1995), Marseilles (1997), Stockholm (1998), Rotterdam (2001), Essen (2002, 2004), Newcastle Gateshead (2005) to Sevilla (2003, 2006-2008), WOMEX has grown from 200 to 2.500 delegates, making it the most anticipated, productive and successful professional event of the world music year. Once again in 2007 we return to the capital of Andalusia, the glorious gateway to the Americas and the world, Sevilla (Spain).
