Change of Showcase programme: Radical Mestizo champs Amaparanoia (Spain) will play WOMEX on Friday 24th Oct at Palenque (23.45 - 0.30h).

Amparo Sánchez ranks as the queenpin of the internationalist Euro-mix force gathering steam behind Manu Chao, a close friend and sometime collaborator. But the individual, festive blend of elements Sánchez has put together combined with catchy songs and her powerful singing gives Amparanoia a distinct identity. Change of Conference programme: Sarah Chanderia (USA) will present Session 22 on Saturday 25th in Bahia room (16 - 16.45h).
'We are the World - Promoting & Protecting our Music internationally'

Sarah Chanderia, born in 1963, is president of a music publishing company based in New York representing music worldwide. Her presentation will offer a comprehensive analysis of the world's music markets and a detailed workshop providing information on how to promote and protect copyrights and master rights when dealing internationally.

Sarah Chanderia is replacing Kathryn Olsen "The Dynamics of Music Making in Post-Apartheid South Africa".

Additional Film Screening: CIC-BATA - Amalgama, Director Santiago Aumusquet (Sevilla 2002) at Cazorla Room (Saturday 11-12h).

Carlos, from Angola, Amin, from Marocco, and Sidi, from Senegal, are three immigrants who, with their music, tell us how they have lived that process of settlement and fusion with their tradition and the way of life in Sevilla, and at the same time they show us one of the advantages of immigration - cultural enrichment.

Change of Award Ceremony programme: Amal Murkus will be the sole artist at the Award presentation to FREEMUSE - The World Forum on Music and Censorship. Marcel Khalife is not able to play the final showcase; WOMEX hopes to welcome him at a future edition.
